Lone Mountain Outfitters started with a problem I had myself.

I wanted to hunt in the same high-quality gear I saw other hunters relying on season after season, but I couldn't always justify the price of buying everything new. Like a lot of hunters, I started looking secondhand.

I quickly realized that some of the best gear out there doesn't stop being good gear just because someone else owned it first.

A well-built jacket, pack, pair of bibs, or piece of equipment can have years of life left in it. Buying used gave me a way to run better gear without blowing my budget, and over time I got pretty good at finding, identifying, buying, and selling it.

That eventually became Lone Mountain Outfitters.

Lone Mountain is focused on quality hunting and outdoor gear from brands that are built to last.

Instead of digging through endless marketplace listings, wondering exactly which model you're looking at, or taking someone's word for the condition, the goal is to make buying secondhand gear straightforward.

We source gear, inspect it, identify it as accurately as possible, clearly describe its condition, and get it back into the hands of someone who will use it.

No need for everything to be brand new. It just needs to be good gear.

I'm based in Bozeman, Montana, where hunting, public land, mountains, and outdoor gear are part of everyday life.

I recently graduated from Montana State University, and Lone Mountain has grown alongside school, work, and years of buying and selling secondhand goods. What started as a side business has gradually turned into something I believe can fill a real gap in the hunting industry.
